You learn where the maker sits in the clinical journey and who the professionals are; the technology (FDM printing, print orientation and strength, materials and their skin-safety, adapting proven open designs like e-NABLE, and body-powered versus myoelectric devices); why fit is a safety property and print strength must be tested; and how to set honest expectations without exploiting vulnerability. It covers the micro-factory business — partnering with clinics and NGOs rather than selling direct to desperate families, with no price or outcome figure invented — and closes with the classic mistakes and the scams, from "bionic hand" overclaims to charity-front donation frauds, with a red-flag grammar and a five-point filter.
