The second is worker safety and dignity: a septic tank or pit is a confined space that can hold gases which kill in minutes, so no worker ever climbs into a tank or pit — the truck's vacuum pump does the emptying while the worker stays outside — and everyone is protected with PPE, hygiene and respect.
